45-Min TheraBand for Front Splits - A fullow-along stretching routine using a TheraBand to help strengthen and stretch the main muscles that help us get flatter front splits (read the full recording description here)
45-Min TheraBand for Middle Splits & Straddle Pancake - A follow-along stretching routine using a TheraBand to help strengthen and stretch the main muscles that help get wider straddles and flatter middle splits and straddle pancakes. (read the full recording description here)
BONUS: 60-Min TheraBand for “All the Splits” - A combination routine that includes drills from both the Front Splits and Middle Split / Straddle Pancake recordings, edited to fit a 60-min training session
While these recordings are “all levels” routines, and include modifications are shown for various levels, I would not recommend them for flexibility “first timers.” Because we are using a TheraBand to increase the difficulty of some drills, this routine is a better fit for students who already have some familiarity with (unbanded) stretching exercises.
If you are newer to flexibility training, I’d suggest starting with the “Quickie” Front & Middle Splits Bundle or the 45-Min “Starting Splits” Bundle first, and then as you get more comfortable training you can add these TheraBand routines in for some variety and an extra challenge!
A chair (or a bench or low table)
Yoga blocks - totally optional, but they are a wonderful prop, especially if you’re a beginner. If you don’t have blocks, I recommend practicing next to a chair, your bed, or a wall so you can reach your hand out for balance if you need to
